HOLIDAY

It's the summertime and outside the window I can see your light

But I'm stuck inside can't overcome the fears that I hide

So I step outside and watch the stripped down version of you shine

Tried not to wake you but that's just what you had in mind

Summer and Saturdays...just what we needed just to get away

The ocean breezes...the rum feels up our drinks

And now we're sleeping on this cotton sand-filled towel

The salty air, the waves in your sundried hair

This is our holiday for making the memories that last

Let this be our soliloquy of a life not gone by too fast

This is our holiday may it last

Deep in the evergreens in a cabin to ourselves

Mount Avery's calling us, her steep and winding road

The quiet wilderness seems to be calling us home

Even if for a short time we rule this planet alone

This is our holiday for making the memories that last

Let this be our soliloquy of a life not gone by too fast

This is our holiday may it last
